When you woke up today, did u realise our fellow beings in Bihar are still struggling with the floodings? When you kept your foot on the ground did you thank god for the solid ground underneath your foot?

 

I mean, while we are engrossed in our day to day activities, living out  our existence, do we ever stop to think about those people who have been struck by this tragedy? Surely you all have read the newspapers and seen the telecast of floods on National Channels.

 

Indians in one part of the country have just seen their wishes; dreams, hopes, families and happiness wash away by the angry Kosi River. We can't undo the damage and shattered lives of the victims but we can surely help in quick healing of the wounds.

 

It is our moral duty, our responsibility to help in whatever way we can. Maybe some of us want to be at ground zero, helping the victims directly in relief camps. But neither do we have the knowledge or time to be there. Cant we compensate for absence in physical terms by assisting with monetary contribution? It might sound clichéd, but next time when you are planning to splurge in the jazzy mall on shopping spree, or cant hardly wait to go and eat at some high end restaurant, do remember those tiny human forms who are in middle of a heavily flooded river, looking at the skies, hoping that airplanes might drop in some food packets. I am not trying to be preachy, but lets contribute in whatever way we can to the flood victims

Most of us may be sceptical wondering 'whether the money we are sending to the NGOs or the Funds will actually reach the people it is intended for'.To that, I would say, let us do our karma, at least. Let's contribute hoping and praying that our efforts help those in distress.

 

Luckily for me I have found the right platform where I am positive the help will reach the needy.

North Pole becomes an 'Island' Finally!

According to NASA's satellite images, the North Pole has become an "island" for the first time in history because of global warming. NASA revealed that the melting ice has facilitated the opening up of both the north-west and north-east passages, making it possible for marine vessels to circumnavigate the Arctic ice cap.

"The passages are open. It's an historic event. We are going to see this more and more as the years go by," It may be mentioned that last year, the extent of sea ice in the Arctic had reached a record low, that also prompted scientists to caution that the ice cap could vanish altogether during summer in years' time.

Should Bihar’s water resources minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, who ignored flood warning signs, be sacked?

Providing details of a system collapse, new evidence in the form of letters and telegrams reveal that for over a week SOS messages from a Bihar official posted on the India- Nepal border had warned of the impending floods in Bihar. But there was no one to read them. This shows carelessnesses and poor administration. Minister should be punished and all the officials resign on the morality ground.

Life after 2012, maybe 2020??

In the year 2012, a Republican will be elected president, as a backlash against Hillary, who was elected president in 2008 as a backlash against 8 years of Dubya.

I'll be 32, firmly in the category of "later ew age." And probably feeling it too.

Taxes will be higher, our freedoms fewer, and politicians will continue to be corrupt demagogues.

Uncivilized barbarians will continue to wage stupid wars the world over.

Idiotic, irresponsible cable channels will continue to air pseudoscience shows about hauntings, Nostradamus and psychic powers to superstitious, gullible people.

Gas will cost more. We'll grumble about it, but continue to pay, because it's still cheaper than alternative energy sources.

Enviro-fundamentalists will still be gnashing their teeth over global warming. Environmentalism will come to resemble a religion in the fervor of its adherents.

As for 2020 and beyond? That's much more anyone's guess....

Destruction & Renewed Life

This catastrophe will not only result in the massive destruction of life on earth, but also its continued existence, however incomprehensible this may sound. Let me explain this.
The magnetic field of the earth is not an accident of natural science. Its primary task is to protect us against cosmic and solar radiation. Without this field, life is practically impossible and in a short time, life on our planet would be extinguished. An all-burning, deadly radioactive radiation would torment the earth's surface.

NASA recently published report detailing new magnetism on the Sun that will probably result in Major Solar Changes and destruction of satellite communications, GPS, Air Traffic, and Power Grids. The report is published on HERE and clearly states that a new Solar Cycle is possible resulting from a knot of magnetism that popped over the sun's eastern limb on Dec. 11th 2007. The report goes on to mention specific years which major Earthly impact will be seen. I find it quite a coincidence that this major happening is forecasted for 2012, as this exact timing correlates to the ancient Mayan prediction of the end of the dimension. The 2012 (End Of The World) theory has been gaining much popularity the last few years. Some predictions include a great human consciousness awakening, the rise of the anti-christ, alien visitation and attacks, a polar flip, and a great alignment in which the Sun will line up with the center of the galaxy causing massive destruction. Although we are not sure of the exact events that will transpire, the evidence is becoming clear that something is in store for us Earthlings. Chinees Investment in 2012, London

Impressed by Beijing Olympics, London, host of the 2012 Games, will woo Chinese firms for investment in the British capital's massive expansion plans.

Think London, a investment agency for the city, is ready to kick off a road show in 11 cities across China, to encourage Chinese enterprises to bid for business opportunities in the run-up to the London Olympics, a senior official from the company said.

"We want to learn from what Beijing has done, and also from the Chinese companies who successfully supported the Beijing Organising Committee for the Olympic Games," Michael Charlton, chief executive of Think London, said.

"We believe the experience of Chinese companies serving the Beijing Games will give them a head start in bidding for the opportunities in the 2012 Games," Charlton was quoted as saying by China Daily.

"Think London's goal is to encourage as many Chinese companies to choose London as their gateway to globalisation. London already receives more Chinese investment than any other city in Europe," he said.

Charlton said a Chinese company making souvenir pins has already won the contract from London Olympic Organising Committee.

And the contract for land remediation was awarded to a Dutch company.

"We will visit Chinese construction, technology, software companies and so on to encourage them to bid for the opportunities connected with the 2012 Games," he said.

He noted that London's economy is expected to grow by $80 billion from now to 2012, and the Olympics and Paralympics will contribute 10 per cent to it.
